한국 특수교육의 현황과 발전과제 = The present situation and the future tasks of the special education in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 우리 나라 특수교육의 발전방향을 탐색하기 위한 일련의 연구 중의 하나이다. 이 연구는 향후 우리 나라 특수교육 정책방향을 제시하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 권위 있는 국제기구인 UN 및 UNESCO가 추진하고 있는 장애아동 교육관련 정책과 미국, 영국, 스웨덴 및 덴마크 등 특수교육 주요 선진국들이 추진하고 있는 특수교육 정책과 실제를 고찰하고 그것이 우리 나라 특수교육 정책추진에 주는 시사점을 논의하였다. 그리고 우리 나라 특수교육 현황과 주요 당면문제 및 과제를 정책적 및 실천적 측면에서 분석하였다. 이러한 국제기구 및 주요 선진국들의 특수교육 동향 탐색과 우리 나라 특수교육 현황 분석을 통하여 향후 우리 나라 특수교육 정책추진을 위한 대응전략을 구체적으로 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of educational policy for students with special needs. For this purpose, we inquired the special education policies derived by authoritative international organizations like UN and UNESCO, and the special education practices of some advanced countries like USA, Britain, Sweden, and Denmark. And we discussed about what they suggest to our country.
Next, we analyzed the present situation of the special education field of our country, and from that analysis, we extracted the urgent problems and tasks of our special education field.
As the result of these inquiries and analysis, this study suggested the concrete counter-plan for special education of Korea.
