스포츠영재 판별도구 개발 방향성 탐색: KOSTASS를 넘어 DMGT의 적용과 활용 = Exploring the Development Direction of Sport Giftendness Identifying Tools : Application and Utilization of DMGT beyond KOSTASS

A representative sports giftedness identifying tool is Korea Sport Talent Search System (KOSTASS). However, there was a limitation in the KOSTASS which could not reflect the multidimension of giftedness considering only physical factors among various sports giftedness. To overcome this, the researchers developed a measurement tool that can measure the psychological factors of sports gifted children as a questionnaire method. Despite these efforts, the existing questionnaire method is not suitable for use as a discrimination tool due to the problem of common method bias such as possibility of false response and social desirability. The purpose of this study is to identify the giftedness and talent based on differentiated model of giftedness and talent (DMGT), and then introduce various measurement methods (ex-situational judgement test, ERP) to consider the multidimensional of sports giftedness while overcoming the problems of questionnaire measurement. One of solution is to evaluate the concentration of sports gifted children through the grid of numbering test. Forty five sports giftedeness children participated in the programs. we examined the concentration ability of sports gifted children by the grid of numbering test. There was a 91% conformed between the teacher's assessment and the grid test results on the concentration of the gifted children. In the future study, the development of sports giftedness identifying tools should include various giftedness factors, which should be measured individually and with a variety of measurement methods.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대표적인 스포츠영재 판별도구는 스포츠영재발굴시스템인 코스타스(Korea Sport Talent Search System: KOSTASS)이다. 그러나 코스타스는 다양한 스포츠영재성 중 신체적 요인만을 고려하여 영재 성의 다차원을 반영하지 못한 한계점이 존재한다. 연구자들은 이를 극복하기 위해 질문지 방법으로 스 포츠영재 아동의 심리적 요인을 측정할 수 있는 측정도구를 개발하였다. 이런 노력에도 불구하고, 기 존 질문지 기법은 거짓응답 가능성, 사회적 바람직성 등과 같은 공통방법편의 문제가 유발되어 판별도 구로 사용하기에는 부적합하다. 본 연구에서는 영재성과 재능 식별모델(DMGT: Differentiated Model of Giftedness and Talent)에 근거하여 영재와 재능을 정의한 후, 질문지 기법이 지닌 판별 도구로써의 문제점을 보완하면서 스포츠영재성의 다차원성을 고려할 수 있는 여러 측정방법(예-상황 판단검사, 격자판 검사, ERP 등)에 대해서 소개하였다. 그 중 하나는 격자판 검사를 통해 스포츠영재 아동의 집중력을 평가하는 것이다. 총 45명 스포츠영재 아동을 대상으로 격자판 검사를 실시하였고, 1년 동안 영재아동을 지도한 지도자의 집중력 평정점수와 어느 정도 일치 하는지를 판별분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과 지도자 평점 점수와 격자판 검사 간 약 91%가 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 1 년 동안 직접 스포츠영재 아동을 지도하면서 집중력이 높고, 낮은 스포츠영재를 판별한 경험적 결과와 단시간에 이루어진 격자판 검사 결과 간 높은 일치도를 보이고 있음을 의미한다. 기존에 제시된 질문 지 측정을 통한 스포츠영재 판별 도구의 한계점을 보완할 수 있는 방법을 격자판 검사가 잘 대변하고 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 향후, 스포츠영재 판별도구개발은 다양한 영재성 요인을 포함하고, 이를 개별 적으로 측정해야 하며, 측정방법의 다양성도 함께 이루어져야 할 것이다.
