청소년 또래요인과 문제음주의 관계에서 리더십의 조절효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년 문제음주에 주된 영향을 미치는 또래요인(또래의 음주와 또래압력)에 대한 대처기술로써의 리더십의 조절효과를 탐색함으로써 청소년 음주관련문제에 대한 개입의 근거를 마련하고자 하였다. 전국 고등학생 968명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 리더십의 조절효과를 분석한 결과, 첫째, 또래압력과 음주하는 친구의 비율이 문제음주의 정도에 영향을 미치는 주요한 변수임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 또래압력과 문제음주의 관계에서 리더십은 보호요인으로 작용하며, 또래의 압력이 높은 경우에도 리더십이 높을 경우 문제음주 비율이 낮다는 것을 보여주었다. 셋째, 리더십이 문제음주에 영향을 미치기는 하지만 또래음주와 문제음주의 관계에서 조절효과를 하지는 못하는 결과를 나타냈다 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 리더십을 초점에 두는 개입프로그램에 대한 함의를 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the moderating role of leadership as a coping skill between peer influence and problem drinking. The sample included 968 high school students from 10 areas in Korea who filled out a self-administered survey questionnaire. The results indicated that peer pressure and association with drinking peers were predictors of problem drinking. Leadership played a protective role between peer pressure and problem drinking, but not between the percentage of alcohol using peers and problem drinking. Those with higher leadership skills were less likely to fall into the problem drinking category. Results indicate the need for including enhancing leadership skills as a prevention method for youth drinking problems. Further implications of the study are discussed.
