한국아동패널(PSKC)을 활용한 연구동향: 복합자료(Complex Sampling Survey Data) 분석의 방법론적 고찰을 중심으로 = Analysis of research trends on panel study on korean children: Focused on methodological issues associated with complex sampling survey data

The purpose of this study was to examine the research trends in which Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC) data was employed. The study subjects included 170 journal articles from 2011 to 2015. With design-based approach, this study focused on analyzing whether the journal articles took the methodological considerations related to analyzing complex sampling survey data structure into account. The findings suggested that 85.3% of research was conducted with cross-sectional design while 14.7% was longitudinal studies. Moreover, majority of studies took model-based approach, which specified statistical models without considering the complex sampling survey data structure (e.g., unequal selection probabilities, stratification and clustering). Specifically, most of the studies did not apply sampling weight, nor did they apply modern missing data handling techniques. Implications for policy and practice that promote design-based approach for analysis of complex sampling survey data are discussed.
