In order to provide the effective services for Gyeongsang National University students, there is a need to investigate the difficulties which GSNU students confront in the process of adjusting themselves to the school and of planning for their future. The purpose of this survey research was to investigate how GSNU students adjust themselves to school and prepare for their future. It is speculated that changes in the educational environment accompanying by socio-economic changes in the large society might have some impacts on students' school adjustment and preparation for their future, especially in job preparation. This study also aimed to find out the changes occurring in the GSNU students' school adjustment and future plan.
For this purpose, 403 students from Gajwa campus, 86 from Chilam campus, and 169 from Tongyoung campus were selected as subjects. They responded to a structured questionnaire designed to get informations on GSNU students' campus life, academic adjustment and future plan as well as job preparation.
Based on the results, it was founded that economic factor has the strongest impact on GSNU students' school adjustment, preparation for their future and their preferences for the job. The results suggest that future plan and job preparation are the most serious problems for the GSNU student, and that GSNU students are experiencing tremendous difficulties in confusion.
