칼빈의 선택에 대한 교회론적 이해와 실천적 삼단논법 = The ecclesiological understanding of the doctrine of election in Calvin und the syllogism practicus

국문 초록 (Abstract)

칼빈과 칼빈주의의 연속성과 불연속성에 대한 문제는 아직 논쟁 중인 주제이다. 17세기 개혁파 정통주의자들에게서 나타나는 '실천적 삼단논법(Syllogismus practicus)' 역시 이 주제와 관련되어 있다. 즉 초기 개혁자들, 특별히 칼빈에게 실천적 삼단논법에 대한 이해가 있는가 하는 것이다. 이 논쟁은 찬반으로 갈려서 아직 진행 중이다. 여기서 칼빈에게 실천적 삼단논법에 대한 직접적인 언급을 찾는 것과 함께 그의 선택론이 가지는 방향성을 고려할 때, 칼빈의 실천적 삼단논법의 여부와 의미가 분명해진다.
칼빈은 기독교 강요 초판에서부터 꾸준하게 선택에 대한 교회론적인 이해를 놓지 않는다. 이 선택에 대한 교회론적인 이해는 기독교 강요 최종판에까지 변하지 않는다. 칼빈이 선택의 확증으로서 그리스도를 강조하는 것은 이러한 교회론적이고, 실천적인 의미가 있다. 이 교회론적인 이해 위에서 칼빈에게서 실천적 삼단논법으로 이해되는 표현의 의미를 더 정확히 알 수 있다. 칼빈이 전개한 하나님의 선택의 교회론적인 이해는 지금의 한국 교회에게도 성도가 함께 누려야 할 참된 위로가 무엇인지를 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Continuity and discontinuity between Calvin and Calvinism are still the issue under debate. This Topic is closely related to the 'practical syllogism' brought by refomed Orthodox in 17th century. The Question ist, whether early reformers, especially Calvin, had a true understanding of the practical syllogism. When we consider the direct references from Calvin and his opinion the doctrine of election, we can clarify the meaning of the assurance of election.
From the first edition of Institutio, Calvin is keeping the ecclesiological understanding of the election, which does not change until the final edition of Institutio. By Calvin's explaination of the assurance of election, his emphasis on Christ as speculum electionis must be understood in both ecclesiological und practical background. From this explanation, churches in Korea can clearly understand Calvin's ecclesiological assurance of 'election in Christ' and truly comfort each other within this understanding.
