2007년부터 2023년까지 댄스곡 코러스의 유형 분류 및 구성 요소 분석 = Classification of Chorus Types and Analysis of Components of Dance Songs from 2007 to 2023

국문 초록 (Abstract)

2007년 원더걸스의 ‘Tell me’를 시작으로 후크송이 가요계의 대세로 떠오르게 되며 곡 형식의 구성요소 중 하나인 코러스가 기존과의 차이점을 나타냈다. 따라서 본 연구는 코러스의 유형을 분류하고 한국 대중가요의 코러스는 주제를 어떠한 방식으로 전달하고 있는지 파악하고자 한다.
후크송이라는 용어가 활발하게 사용되고 코러스의 변화가 나타나기 시작한 2007년부터 2023년까지의 연구이며 분석 대상은 1단계로 멜론의 시대별 차트 TOP 100을 통해 곡의 장르 또는 스타일이 댄스로 분류된 곡을 선정하였고 2단계로 분류된 댄스곡의 상위 10위를 분석 대상으로 선정하여 17년간 연도별로 10곡씩 총 170곡이다. 선정된 곡들을 스토리형 가사, 키워드형 가사, 복합형 가사 총 세 가지의 유형으로 분류한 후 유형별 구성 요소들을 분석하고 연도별 변화를 비교 분석한다.
분석 결과 한국 대중가요의 가사를 세 가지의 유형으로 분류할 수 있으며 각 유형별 특징이 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 1995년부터 2006년까지의 유형을 추가로 분류해 본 결과 본 연구의 분석 대상인 2007년부터 2023년까지의 유형별 분포와 많은 차이가 나타났다. 이를 통해 본 연구의 시작점인 2007년 이후 가사 유형이 크게 변화하였음을 확인하였다.
본 연구를 통하여 2007년부터 2023년까지 댄스곡 코러스의 유형과 유형별 구성 요소의 차별점을 도출하였고 연도별 변화 추이까지 확인할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Starting with Wonder Girls ‘Tell Me’ in 2007, Hook Song emerged as a trend in the music industry, and the chorus, one of the components of the song format, showed a difference from the previous one. Therefore, this study classifies the types of chorus and attempts to understand how the chorus of Korean popular songs conveys the theme.
The study was conducted from 2007 to 2023, when the term hook song was actively used and changes in the chorus began to appear, and the target of the analysis was the first stage, where the genre or style of the song was classified as dance through Melon's period chart TOP 100, and the top 10 dance songs classified in the second stage were selected for analysis, with a total of 170 songs, 10 songs per year, for 17 years. After classifying the selected songs into three types: story-type lyrics, keyword-type lyrics, and complex lyrics, the components of each type are analyzed, and changes by year are compared and analyzed.
As a result of the analysis, the lyrics of Korean popular songs can be classified into three types, and it was confirmed that each type has characteristics. In addition, as a result of further classifying the types from 1995 to 2006, there were many differences from the distribution by type from 2007 to 2023, which is the subject of analysis of this study. Through this, it was confirmed that the lyrics type has changed significantly since 2007, the starting point of this study.
Through this study, the differences between the types of dance song chorus and the components of each type were derived from 2007 to 2023, and even the trend of changes by year could be confirmed.
