With the development of components for the DIRCM (Directional Infrared Countermeasures) aimed at enhancing the survivability of the special operations aircraft of the Republic of Korea's military, it has become essential to conduct system-wide performance verification. Hence, integrated flight tests incorporating DIRCM and other survivability equipment must be performed to assess interoperability in real operational environments. In particular, verifying whether the functions validated through ground tests operate reliably under flight conditions is crucial for preventing potential operational issues. This study evaluated the operational suitability of aircraft by considering the key elements of flight testing and analyzed the distance parameters for both ground and flight tests to simulate the characteristics of parachutes and MANPADS (Man-Portable Air Defense Systems) threat environments. In addition, an efficient testing approach was developed by establishing various defensive strategies centered around threat aircraft. The key verification elements in flight tests include ASE (Aircraft Survival Equipment)'s operational range, response speed, detection bandwidth, and operational coverage. Furthermore, a comprehensive evaluation methodology is presented by incorporating test procedures for validating the interoperability of NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System), DIRCM/MAWS (Missile Approach Warning System) functionalities, CMDS (Countermeasure Dispensary System), and EWC (Electronic Warfare Control) integration.
