    South Korean tourism had seen a steady rise in Japanese tourist inflow due to geological proximity. Recently, there has been a great increase with the advent of the Korean wave and K-POP. The widespread use of Internet searching and IT gadgets brought a new wave of interest in tourism.

    For this paper, information from another work, An Analytical Study on the Motive and Satisfaction of Japanese Korean Wave Tourists and Building of Cultural Tourism Image, has been heavily used. This study concludes that steps need to be taken to improve mainstream Korean wave culture and to prevent factors that cause discontent in Korean tourism. This paper pays special attention to the tourist activities Japanese tourists most enjoyed in Korea. 62.7 percent thought that esthe?tique shops, sauna bathhouses, culinary tourism and shopping were the most enjoyable activities. All four are of the service industry. This paper focuses on the short periods of waiting associated with these activities, which can be a major source of discontent for tourists. We took the time each of these activities usually take place and calculated the waiting periods using a simulation. We focused on the hours normally used by Japanese customers and the service time associated with that period. This analytical model utilizes queing theory based on the Markov Process.

    This paper proposes a way to decrease waiting periods and therefore increasing tourist satisfaction by using a queuing model.
