This study was conducted from July 26 to August7, 1981 on 137 nurses working in hospital being attached to K university.
The Purppose of the study was to analyze job satisfaction with their Profession by ranks, marital status, experience, regions and regidence.
The results from studied were as follows:
1. More than half of the subjects(58.4%) were satisfied with their job. The degree varied significantly by marital status (P<0.05), i.e., maried nurses showed a higher degree of job satisfaction than unmarried nurses.
2. In the response of the suty environment, supervisor showed the highest degree of satisfaction and charge nurse showed the lowest degree (P<0.05) Subjects going to the hospital at home showed a lower degree than hospital dormitary nurses.
3. The degree of the feeling of attachment to their organization was significantly different depending upon experience (p<0.001), i.e., the longer the service period, the stronger the feeling of attachment to the organization.
4. The degree of participation in the formation of nursing work plan varied significantly depending upon marital status(p<0.05), i.e., married nurses showed a higher degree of participation in making nursing working plans than unmarried nurses.
5. The sense of contribution through service to the community varied significantly depending upon regions (p<0.001), i.e., the christian and catholics were higher degree of contribution sense than any other regions.
