The purpose of this paper is to introduce Choi, Jeong-jin(1800~1860) and his work, Jam-Nyeo-Jeon(Life of sericultural woman) to the academic world. The main story of this work is similar to the tale of sericultural woman in 『Sushinki(搜神記)』 and 『Shinnyeo-jeon(神女傳)』. But also this work has the only different thing that is not found in the story of another books. It is that she keeps her word to marry with a horse. This shows a originality of the writer in story writing to us. Jam-Nyeo-Jeon by Choi, Jeong-jin is alienated from the typical pseudobiography(假傳) in many respects. It is summarized the following three points. The first is that this work has a realistic setting than typical works. The second is that the main character of this work is a silkworm, which is not used in another works. The last is that the writer use the form of dreaming to emphasize the main theme as faithfulness in this work.
