Among industrial equipment, an image-based system is used as a lighting of a DMD(Digital Micromirror Devices) that implements an H/W-based image filter based on bright and diverse colors. The configuration of the image-based system is largely composed of a lighting control unit using an LED light source and a DMD for an image input device. The image processing system is a structure in which a high-resolution image is reflected from DMD. The high-power LED is controlled constant current-based brightness value to DMD reflected image is acquired. The constant current control-based operation has been changed brightness values cause due to thermal resistance fluctuations and high-speed switching losses, during operation of the LED degrades linearity when a large number of images are acquired in high-speed operation.
This paper proposes a constant current control method that adapts to load conditions fluctuating due to various losses. The proposed method was applied to the system to confirm stability by generating a large amount of lighting and acquiring images through a high-speed operation.
