발달장애 학생의 적응행동에 대한 전환교육 프로그램의 효과 : 메타분석 = The Effects of Transitional Education Programs on Adaptive Behavior in Students with Developmental Disabilities: A Meta-Analysis

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 메타분석을 통해 발달장애 학생의 적응행동에 대한 전환교육 프로그램의 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해, 발달장애 학생의 적응행동에 대한 전환교육 프로그램 적용 연구 중 동일집단 사전-사후 검사 설계를 적용한 연구를 선별하는 과정을 실시하였다. 분석에 포함된 논문은 22편이었다. 연구물을 종합하여 분석한 결과, 전체적인 효과크기는 0.124로 작지만 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 범주형 변수별 분석결과는 다음과 같았다: 첫째, 학술지 게재 논문보다는 미게재 학위논문 등의 효과크기가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다; 둘째, 대인기능 중심전환교육의 효과크기가 생활중심이나 지역사회 중심 전환교육보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다; 셋째, 발달지체 학생에서 정신지체 학생보다 전환교육의 효과크기가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다; 넷째, 적응행동의 하위 영역별로는 주거생활기술, 학습기술, 일상생활기술, 직업기술 순으로 효과크기가 큰 것으로 나타났다; 다섯 째, 중등부와 고등부 대상 학생의 효과크기가 전공과나 초등부 학생보다 더 크게 나타났다. 연속형 변수에 대한 회귀분석 결과 생활연령과 정신연령이 높을수록 전환교육 프로그램의 효과크기가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 메타분석을 통해 발달장애 학생의 적응행동에 대한 전환교육 프로그램의 효과를 종합 분석하기 위한 시도를 하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of transitional education programs on adaptive behavior in students with developmental disabilities through a meta-analysis. 22 articles of pre-post test in one sample were included for analysis. The overall effect size for all studies was 0.124, small and positive effect. The results from analysis according to categorical variables were as follows: First, the effect size of unpulished dissertation was lager than published articles; Second, interpersonal relation function-based transition program produced lager effects than life-centered or community based programs; Third, students with developmental delay have lager effect size than mental retardation; Fourth, the effect size of adaptive skills were residential living skills, academic skills, daily living skills, vocational skills in order; Fifth, transition program was more effective in middle and high school than elementary and major school. The result of our fixed-effects regression analysis by age was that effect size was increased according to chronological and mental age. More individual studies of transitional education program should be accumulating in order to generalize effects.
