남명학파와 양명학의 민본적 실천사상 연구 = A Study on Democratic Practical Thought of Nam-myeong School and Wang Yangming`s Philosophy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, there have been issues about controversy of rigged presidential election last year in Korea and the U.S. fiscal crisis, Japan`s rearmament and Japan-U.S. joint defense, internationally. The thought of warfare and enhancing the wealth and military strength of a country is bound up in the theory of evolution and the survival of the fittest in the West. The thought of peace, harmonic and natural coexistence is bound up in Eastern philosophy like Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc. There are many thoughts about life philosophy of ``all things as in one`` and ``knowledge and conduct is united`` in Wang Yangming`s philosophy. We can think about another practicing to unite knowledge and conduct by Wang Yangming who care about a broken branch and a piece of broken tile. Also, we can think about Nam-myoeng`s mind of relieving the people that was thinking about the people who suffered from corruption and extortion. There is a saying, Reformation is difficult than revolution. Philosophy, as the essence of Zeitgeist, and political thoughts is like the face and back of a coin. There was general discussion that Toe-gye just imitated Zhu Xi`s Neo-Confucianism and Nam-myoeng had factors of Lu Jiuyuan and Wang Yangming`s philosophy including Neo-Confucianism. This thesis try to confirm that and study on practical thought of Nam-myeong and Wang Yangming`s Philosophy, concretely. The era of Ming and Qing dynasty after Song dynasty in China, the middle age of Joseon after late Goryeo to early Joseon in Korea, the view about Neo-Confucianism and the issue about its practical factor are connected with ``working for the government and living in seclusion(出處)``. Nam-myeong and Wang Yangming`s Philosophy were different for attitude about ``heresy(Buddism, the thought of Laotzu, School of Mind, etc.)`` and practical thoughts as well as study. Nam-myeong School and Wang Yangming had the factor of practical thoughts like the thought of ``to become a general outside, to become a prime minister inside(出將入相)``and ``having both literary and military accomplishments(文武兼全)``.
