      The present study was carried out aiming at finding out the more reasonable cultural practices for the new rice variety Tongil in Jeonbug District and the results are as fellows :
      1. For the water management, the continual soil saturation plot showed more vigorous growing and higher yield than the continual flooding plot or the rotational irrigation plot.
      2. For the fertilizer application, the topdressing of nitrogen fertilizer treatment was better than the basal application of fertilizer in vegetative growth and grain yielding.
      3. The ideal way to increase the yieding potential of rice plant is to apply the proper amount of additional fertilifer at the requiring growth stages.
