다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Unlike in the twentieth century when there existed clear limits to applying technology in the legal sphere, possibility of modern technology, aided by revolutionary improvements in artificialintelligence and deep-learning abilities, replacing judges’ roles in courts has become more feasible than ever before. Therefore, this research (1) examines the technical validity of modern artificial intelligence technology replacing judges’ roles in courts and (2) investigates its real-world implications using Ronald Dworkin’s Law’s Empire. After all, although artificial intelligence technology assuming judges’ authorities certainly offers various practical benefits, the idea simultaneously entails inherent limitations including artificial intelligence technology’s complete reliance on precedents and disregarding of contextual interpretations. Consequently, this study also discusses appropriate utilization and application of modern technology in the court system.
