    It is proposed an optimal industrial location in North Korean sub-regions to accomplish the efficient uses of national resources such as lands, capitals, and labors. The current situations of social overhead capital and major 9 industrial complexes in North Korea are examined. An industrial location index is designated for the purpose of rating various locational factors by region. The index represents the characteristics of localized competitiveness, locational factors, and miscellaneous factors by region. The manufacturing industries such as No. 15 thru No. 37 industries based on the standard industrial classification are distributed into major 9 industrial complexes with respect to the industrial location index.
