This study examines how five catering quality dimensions — menu variety, food quality, service quality, food safety and hygiene, and food presentation — shape guest satisfaction and behavioral intentions at events in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, two Central Asian markets where event catering has received little empirical attention. Grounded in the Stimulus–Organism–Response framework (Mehrabian & Russell, 1974) and the SERVQUAL model (Parasuraman et al., 1988), the study employs a quantitative cross-sectional survey of 119 event attendees, with items measured on five- point Likert scales. Seven hypotheses (H1–H7) were tested in Stata 19.5 using Pearson correlation and OLS regression. The model explained 82.6% of the variance in guest satisfaction (Adjusted R² = 0.816). Menu variety, food quality, and service quality emerged as significant predictors (H1–H3 supported); food safety and hygiene (H4) and food presentation (H5) where not significant once other dimensions were controlled. Guest satisfaction significantly predicted both desires to stay longer (H6) and intention to attend future events (H7), with a particularly strong effect on future attendance (R² = 0.589). The findings contribute original empirical evidence on event catering in Central Asia and offer practical guidance for event planners and catering professionals in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
