국내 교도소 수감자가 인식하는 음악치료 프로그램의 만족도에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대사회에서는 범죄자에 대해 형벌과 수감뿐 아니라 사회복귀와 더 이상의 범죄를 예방하고자 교정복지 프로그램을 통해 범죄자의 정서순화를 도모하는 노 력이 중요시 되고 있다. 수감자는 감시 감독 받는 생활 속에서 자유를 박탈당한 채 사회적, 정신적 무력감을 느끼기도 하고 긴장감과 불안감으로 인하여 신경질 적인 반응을 보이는데, 이러한 부정적인 감정은 원활한 사회복귀에 방해요인이 될 수 있다. 이에 따라 원활한 사회복귀를 위한 교정복지 프로그램의 중요성이 커가는 반면, 그 효과에 대해서는 의문점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 단기적으로 음 악치료프로그램을 수감자들에게 적용하여 음악치료프로그램 인식과 만족도를 조 사하고 구체적인 사유를 조사하였다. 그 결과 단기적 음악치료프로그램은 수감자 들의 부정적인 감정을 긍정적으로 변화시켰으며 수감자들과 서로 교류하며 나아 갈 사회의 작은 부분을 경험함으로써 사회적응에 보다 쉽게 접근하게 할 수 있 다는 근거를 보였다. 또한 음악치료프로그램에 재참여 하겠다는 의사를 나타냄으로서 음악 치료프로그램이 교정 복지의 일환으로써 수감자들의 사회복귀와 정서 변화에 효과적일 수 있다는 가능성을 보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In addition to the punishment and imprisonment of criminals, the modern society values the effort to promote the refinement of criminals’ emotions through correction welfare programs in order to prevent further crimes as well as for their return to the society. The inmates tend to feel social and psychological helplessness being deprived of freedom in life under surveillance and supervision, and they also tend to show bad tempered reactions due to nervousness and anxiety. Such negative feelings may act as an obstacle against the smooth return to the society. Accordingly, while the importance of correction welfare programs for smooth return to the society is growing, there remain doubts about their effects. This research applied the music therapy programs to inmates in a short term, and surveyed their perception and satisfaction level, while also studying the specific reasons. As a result, the data showed that short term music therapy programs changed the inmates’ negative emotions to positive, and allowed the inmates to interact with each other and experience a small part of the society they are about to enter, which would make adaptation into the society somewhat easier. Moreover, the inmates showed their willingness to participate in the music therapy program again, revealing the possibility that the music therapy programs may be effective in the inmates’ rehabilitation to the society as well as their emotional changes as a part of correction welfare.
