A case of leiomyolipoma is reported in view of the rarity of its kind in the literature. The tumor consisted of a mixture of mature adipose tissue in ordinary leiomyoma. The adipose tissue distributed throughout the tumor ranging from 30 to 70 per cent of the tumor tissue. The relation of adipose tissue to smooth muscle, fibrous stroma, blood vessels, parametrium, degeneration or active proliferation of tumor elements was studied to determine the possible origin of adipose tissue. But :no definite relationship could be found. There was no demonstrable fat tissue in surrounding normal myometrium. Therefore, it was thought that the adipose tissue is a part of neoplastic proliferation rather than secondary infiltration, and the lesion might constitute a benign mixed mesodermal tumor.
