틀의미론으로 분석한 ‘사다’와 ‘팔다’의 의미 분절 = The aspects of meaning articulation of sada('"to buy") and palda("to sell") based on Frame Semantics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Nam, Kyoung-woan and Dong-hyeok Lee. 2004. The aspects of meaning articulation of sada('"to buy") and palda("to sell") based on Frame Semantics. Korean Journal of Linguistics, 29-1, 1-24. The purpose of this paper is to analyze aspects of articulation of lexical meaning based on Frame Semantics. The basic assumption of Frame Semantics is that each word evokes a particular frame and possibly profiles some elements(FEs). In this principle of Frame Semantics, the meaning of lexical units can include the empirical knowledge. After reviewing basic concepts and methods of Frame Semantics, we extend this analysis to Korean verb sada("to buy") and palda("to sell"). As a result, we can ascertain that sada consists of seven semes for four different frames, i.e. COMMERCE, GIVING, GETTING, VALUING and palda consists of five semes for three frames, i.e. COMMERCE, USING, TURNING.
