We have examined the function of Buddhism in adolescence psychological development based on the teachings of “Eight noble truth of the path (ariya atthangika-magga)”. Illustrating the term ``education`` in Buddhist`s perspective, the purpose of Buddhism in education is focused on giving solid guidelines to the right acknowledgement and right thoughts, and right decision. Guiding our younger generation to achieve spiritual awakening (bodhi) via ariya atthangika-magga - footstone of all the teachings of Buddha - ensures the mental wellness and spiritual nourishment of adolescents. Not only that, this will be the new hope for Buddhism to flourish among the future generation. If more temples and Buddhists are willing to take care of them, we can expect true realization of maitri-karuna [Mahakaruna] from our future generations.
