This study aims to verify the impact of family strength on career preparation behavior and the mediating effects of career resilience and career adaptability among adolescents in vocational high schools. To this end, a survey was conducted on 350 adolescents enrolled in specialized high schools in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, and 318 survey data were used for analysis, excluding 32 respondents who did not respond in good faith. The analysis results derived from this study are as follows. First, it was found that the family strength of adolescents in vocational high schools had a significant, positive impact on career resilience and career preparation behaviour. Second, it was found that the career resilience of adolescents in vocational high schools had a significant impact on career preparation behaviour and played a significant mediating role in the relationship between family strength and career preparation behaviour. Third, it was found that the family strength of adolescents in vocational high schools had a significant, positive impact on career adaptability. Fourth, the career adaptability of adolescents in vocational high schools has a significant, positive impact on career preparation behaviour, and plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between family strength and career preparation behaviour
