This paper aims to trace back the image of ``Gangbuk``. [There is l ots of excrement in NokChun]. We will look at how the image of ``G angbuk`` has changed due to the development of ``Gangnam``. We take particular interest in how ``Gangbuk`` has been distinguished as a low er ranking area than ``Gangnam``. The paper uses critical cultural analysis, including the areas` politi cal, economical, and cultural characteristics. By critically analysing Lots`` of excrement in NokChun, we are a ble to consider the simmeralities of homogeny, as novels can be relat ed to real life. In this particualr novel ``Gangbuk`` is distinguished as a less than attractive place due to the development projects and Kore an style pariah capatilism within ``Gangnam``. By using the French scholar Bourdieu`s `Habitus` concept and the ory of distinction we show how (There are lots of shit in NokChun) shows regionalism with regard to ``Gangnam`` and ``Gangbuk``.
