The purpose of this study was to provide some improvements for management efficiency of the public sports facilities by analyzing customer satisfaction and opinion of the employers about management system of the public sport facilities. To perform the purpose, this research surveyed 395 customer and 50 employers from 4 cities in Jeollabukdo province. The survey instrument was self developed based on information from prior studies conducted by Hur(1997), Park(1996) and Lee(2001). The conclusion of this study are as follows.
First, The analysis of customer satisfaction.
Customer satisfaction level with public sports facilities was higher in the public management facilities than consigned facilities. Especially part of management service.
But in indoor gymnasium, consigned facilities was higher.
Second, The analysis of Repurchasing and Recommendation behavior.
Repurchasing and Recommendation behavior level with public sports facilities was higher in the public management facilities than consigned facilities.
Third, In the investigation of employers opinion about management system of the public sports facilities.
For the management efficiency of the public sports facilities, organizational restructuring is necessary. The structure of the public sports facilities should be redesigned to decentralize decision-making function. The local sports administrators should have considerable permissive powers. So they can act independently ; they can enable, support and encourage self-helf and initiative. The consignment of the facility management of the public sports facilities such as maintenance and guarding is also needed, finally to enhance the efficiency of the public sports facilities, they are needed to management expert, reinforce the public relations function, marketing strategy, responsible management system, and so on.
