古墳을 통해 본 4ㆍ5세기대 高句麗의 集權體制 = Koguryo Tombs and the Establishment of Centralized Administration during the Fourth and Fifth Centuries

Koguryo tombs during the fourth and fifth centuries AD characterized by the construction of the large stone step-pyramid a the emergence of spread of hemispherical painted stone cham earthen mounds. The enormous stone pyramid may suggest the p Taewang(太王) during the early fourth century AD. No regularit among such large stone pyramids, however. can be observable and are roughly contemporaneous with earthen mounds
Elements of the two burial types of possibly different origins became combined and coexisted in a single tomb during the fi century. Same types of burials were constructed in the Kogury newly conquered territories and in the political centers as well. The sixth century witnessed emerging unification of burial style I tombs painted with guardian animal symbols of the four directions.
Therefore, the fourth and fifth centuries marked the period with the Koguryo's unique burial style was developed. discuss establishment of centralized administration based on the process o emergence and development of the Koguryo burial style.
