포스트 김정일시대 한국의 통일전략 = ROK'S Unification Strategy In Post Kim Jong-il Era

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper was made to contribute to establishment of a pertinent unification strategies for South Korea while considering inevitable changes in post Kim jong-il era and political reponses of neighbor powers. Above all, for the purpose of it, this paper set up four plausible typologies (scenarios) as post Kim jong-il regimes and examined three unification processes -'gradual change', 'regime collapse' and 'inter-Korean war'- of Korean Peninsula as well as North Korea's policies under new leadership in each scenario in chapter Ⅱ. Also, this paper examined and analysed about strategical alternatives of South Korea in relation with diplomatic and domestic security issues which must be taken into consideration in the process of Korean unification in chapter Ⅲ. In conclusion, this paper advised for South Korea's policy-makers about desirable unification strategies while analysing limitations of each scenario.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 포스트 김정일시대가 필연적으로 수반하게 될 변화와 함께 주변국들의 정책적 대응까지 고려하면서 적실성 있는 통일대비 전략을 수립하는데 기여할 목적으로 작성되었다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 먼저, 제Ⅱ장에서 포스트 김정일체제의 유형과 그에 따라 초래될 정세변화를 전망하기 위해 4가지 시나리오를 구성하여 검토하되, 각각의 시나리오에서 새로운 북한지도부의 정책과 이후 전개될 통일과정을 설명했다. 또한 제Ⅲ장에서는 통일과정에서 반드시 고려되어야 할 외교안보 및 국내정치 측면의 쟁점들을 선정하여 바람직한 전략적 대안들을 검토해보았다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 제Ⅳ장에서는 각각의 시나리오의 한계를 검토하면서 통일전략의 올바른 방향 정립을 위한 제언을 시도했다.
