탁월성의 체육적 이해 = The understanding of the excellence in the perspective of physical education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study to be understanding the conception of excellence, relating sport and physical education with competition and made the following conclusions. The teaching materials for physical education handle five motor domains so based on the theory of physical education, physical education includes sports, but based on the Greek etymological meanings, the conception of sports can include physical education conversely. Hercules in the ancient Greek mythology, who had been a human, became a god because of his excellence. This excellence resembles sports conquest spirit of overcoming adverse conditions. This conception of excellence includes the meanings of not only goal accomplishment in competition, but also cooperation, assimilation, virtue, goodness and self-actualization or fully functioning persons. Accordingly, the conception of excellence needs to be accepted as the motor performance spirit for elite players and general life sport persons. Therefore, excellence and fully-functioning persons have a lot of similar meanings so in-depth researches need to be continuously made in order for those two to be recognized as resembling conception.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 탁월성의 개념을 이해하기 위하여 스포츠와 체육을 경쟁과 함께 연관시켜 고찰한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 체육은 다섯 가지 운동 영역을 교재로 하고 있다. 그래서 체육학 이론에 기초하면, 체육은 스포츠를 포함하고 있지만 스포츠를 그리스 어원에 기초할 때, 반대로 체육도 포함할 수 있는 개념임을 알 수 있었다. 스포츠에서 탁월성 개념의 근원을 고대 그리스 신화에서의 헤라클레스에서 찾을 수 있었다. 그것은 그 자신이 탁월성에 의해 인간에서 신이 되었다는 것이었다. 이것은 스포츠에서 제반 악조건을 이겨 나가는 극복의 과정과 어떤 유사함이 있음을 알게 되었다. 그래서 이러한 탁월성의 개념은 경쟁에서 목표 성취뿐만 아니라 협동과 동화, 미덕과 선량함 그리고 자아실현이나 전인적 인간의 의미도 함께 내포되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 이 탁월성의 개념은 엘리트 선수뿐만 아니라 일반 생활 체육인들의 운동 수행정신으로도 받아들일 필요가 있다는 것이다. 따라서 이런 탁월성과 전인적 인간은 유사한 점이 충분히 있기 때문에 이 둘을 유사한 수준으로 인식되도록 보다 심도 있는 연구가 지속적으로 추진되어야 할 필요가 있다.
