This study aims to analyze the evaluation criteria of artificial intelligence (AI) digital textbooks and the applicability of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to propose improvement measures required for creating an inclusive learning environment that addresses the needs of diverse learners. AI digital textbooks utilize AI to offer personalized learning paths and enhance learning efficiency through several multimedia resources, establishing themselves as innovative educational tools. However, it was found that the three core principles of representation, action and expression, and engagement have not been completely implemented in technical terms, with limitations in accessibility consistency and functional support. To overcome these challenges, this study suggests improving the accessibility features of AI digital textbooks and strengthening the support systems that enable teachers and students to use digital tools effectively.
