This study examined the mediating effects of college life satisfaction with respect to the effects of resilience of infants and toddlers who are adult learners in both employment and study on teacher efficacy and to empirically analyze the importance of adult learners’ college life experiences on the formation of their competencies as teachers. For this, 175 adult learners enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education at universities in Daegu and Gyeongbuk who were taking learning management system (LMS)-based remote classes and weekend face-to-face classes were surveyed. The subjects of the study are qualified as childcare teachers and have the characteristics of performing both studies and jobs to qualify as full-time kindergarten teachers. The analysis was conducted using PROCESS MACRO Model 5. The study showed, significant positive correlations among resilience, satisfaction with college life, and teacher efficacy. Second, college life satisfaction was found to exhibit the greatest influence on teacher efficacy, suggesting that adult learners’ college life experiences play an important role in strengthening their com petence as teachers and enhancing their psychological stability. Third, in the relationship between resilience and teacher efficacy, a partial mediating effect of college life satisfaction was verified. In other words, teachers who had higher resilience tended to experience higher teacher efficacy as their life satisfaction at college increased. These results imply that efforts to improve resilience and college life satisfaction are needed to improve teacher efficacy for infants and toddlers, who are adult learners. In particular, it is essential to establish a customized educational and emotional support system with respect to the characteristics of adult learners involved in both employment and study. This study empirically examined the effect of adult learners’ satisfaction with college life on teacher efficacy at the present time, when reservation integration is being promoted; the results contribute to pointing to educational policies and directions for improving the university environment to support adult learners’ academic continuity and job adaptation
