『대동야승』의 문화콘텐츠화 방안 연구 = A Study on the Cultural Contentsization of 『Daedongyaseung』

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 『대동야승』에 수록된 자료를 문화콘텐츠화 하는 방안을 고찰하여 『대동야승』의 내용 및 자료적 가치를 현대적으로 계승하도록 기여하는 것이다. 『대동야승』에 수록된 이야기 자료를 문화콘텐츠 원형 자료로 활용하는 방안은 여타 국역 문헌을 현대적으로 활용하고 그 가치를 계승해나가는 방안을 탐색하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.
그동안 고전자료들을 데이터베이스 또는 디지털 아카이브로 구축하는 일은 꾸준히 진행되어오고 있다. 그 결과 자료에 쉽게 접근할 수 있게 되었고 자료 활용도가 높아졌다. 하지만 발굴한 소재를 어떤 방법으로 매체에 맞도록 스토리텔링 하면서 새로운 콘텐츠로 만들어낼지에 대한 방법론적 고민과 연구가 더 본격적으로 이루어져야 한다.
본 연구의 필요성과 의미는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 『대동야승』을 문화원형 자료의 차원에서 새롭게 이해할 수 있다. 『대동야승』은 조선시대의 다양한 정치 · 사회 · 문화 · 역사 제반 양상을 이해하고 추정할 수 있게 하는 중요한 문화원형자료라는 점이 간과되어 왔다. 둘째, 『대동야승』에서 추출한 이야기 자료로 문화콘텐츠화 할 방안을 고찰함으로써 여타 국역 자료에도 이러한 방안을 적용할 수 있게 된다. 셋째, 문화콘텐츠 관련 담당자들이 『대동야승』을 어떤 매체에 어떻게 담아야 하는지를 이해함으로써 『대동야승』과 대중의 문화 소비 패턴을 조율하면서 양질의 콘텐츠를 만들어낼 수 있게 된다. 넷째, 현대 대중들이 고전이나 문헌의 가치를 새롭게 이해하고 자료에 담긴 철학이나 가치를 내면화 하여 인본정신을 회복하는데 도움이 된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to contribute to the content and the material value of “『Daedongyaseung』” in a modern way by examining the ways of transforming the data contained in Daedongyaseung into cultural contentsization. Utilizing the story material recorded in 『Daedongyaseung』as a prototype of cultural contents can help in not only exploring how the other Korean translation literature can be modernly utilized but also identifying its inherent value.
Moreover, the development of databases or digital archives for classical materials has been steadily progressing, which has facilitated easy access to data and increased data utilization. However, the methodological considerations and studies on how to create new content as narratives in accordance with media are earnestly required.
This study discusses how the stories in the Korean translation literature of 『Daedongyaseung』 can be considered a prototype for cultural contents. First, 『Daedongyaseung』 can be newly understood as a standard for cultural prototype data; although overlooked, it is an important cultural prototype data that enables us to understand and estimate various aspects of not only politics, society, culture, and history but also the Joseon Dynasty. Second, it is possible to apply this method to other Korean translation data by considering the method of creating cultural content from the story data extracted from 『Daedongyaseung』. Third, managers of cultural content must understand how to place 『Daedongyaseung』 in what media, and that it is possible to create high quality content by coordinating 『Daedongyaseung』 and popular culture consumption pattern. Fourth, it not only helps the modern public understand the value of classical or literary texts but also restores the spirit of humanity by internalizing the philosophy or value contained in the material.
