성인애착이 용서에 미치는 영향에 있어 공감의 매개효과 검증 = Empathy as a Mediator of the Relations between Adult Attachment and Forgiveness

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Integrating theories of attachment and forgiveness, this study aimed to investigate the mediating effects of empathy on the relationship between adult attachment and forgiveness. Adult attachment, empathy and forgiveness related data was collected from among 208 undergraduate students, and were analysed using structural equation modeling(SEM) of mediation. The instruments were
included: (1) Experience in Close Relationship Scale(ECRS), (2) Korean-Balanced Emotional Empathy Scale(K-BEES), (3) Forgiveness Trait Scale(FTS). The results
indicated that adult attachment(attachment anxiety/attachment avoidance) had a negative relation with forgiveness and empathy. Empathy significantly and positively related to forgiveness. The model for this study was entirely verified model fit by CMIN/DF, NFI, CFI and RMSEA. Further, empathy turned out to have a perfectly
mediating effect on the relationship between adult attachment(attachment anxiety/attachment avoidance) and forgiveness. Finally, the implications for education, therapy
and rehabilitation areas, suggestions for future study and several limitations of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 애착과 용서에 대한 이론을 바탕으로 성인애착이 용서에 미치는 영향에 있어 공감의 매개효과를 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 208명의 대학생을 대상으로 친밀관계경험척도(ECRS), 한국판 균형정서공감척도(K-BEES), 용서특질척도(FTS)를 사용하여 성인애착, 공감 및 용서와 관련한 자료를 수집하였고, 구조방정식 모형을 통해 매개효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인애착(애착불안/애착회피)은 공감 및 용서와 통계적으로 유의한 부적 상관관계를, 공감은 용서와 통계적으로 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 성인애착(애착불안/애착회피)은 용서를 유의미하게 예측했으며 공감은 성인애착과 용서 간의 관계에서 완전매개효과를 나타냈다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과가 교육, 치료, 재활 영역에서 가지는 함의, 연구의 제한점 및 추후연구를 위한 제언에 관해 논하였다.
