      This study describes validity and reliability, which are important factors to obtain scientific results in the study of library and information science. Specifically, this paper starts by exploring the definition and types of validity and reliability. It then analyzes the factors which affect to validity and reliability in developing test-items through the previous studies. It is proposed that validity and reliability be regarded as basic and important components to solve problems related to library and information science in the future scientifically.
