치위생학과 학생의 기후변화와 사회적 책임에 대한 연구 = A study on climate change awareness and social responsibility among dental hygiene students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구배경: 본 연구는 치위생학과 학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식과 태도 및 사회적 책임 수준을 확인하고, 관련 변수 간의 관계를 분석함으로써 치위생 교육과정 내 기후변화 및 사회적 책임 교육의 방향성을 제시하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다.
연구방법: 2025년 10월 13일부터 10월 19일까지 전라도 지역의 치위생학과 재학생 164명을 대상으로 구조화된자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였다. 측정 변수는 기후변화에 대한 인식, 기후변화에 대한 태도, 사회적 책임이었으며, 자료는 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson 상관분석, 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다.
연구결과: 기후변화에 대한 인식의 평균은 3.53점, 기후변화에 대한 태도의 평균은 3.54점, 사회적 책임의 평균은 3.59점이었다. 기후변화에 대한 인식, 기후변화에 대한 태도 및 사회적 책임은 모두 유의한 정적 상관관계를보였다. 기후변화에 대한 인식의 영향요인은 기후변화 관련 정보에 대한 관심, 주관적 건강상태 및 사회적 책임이었으며, 기후변화에 대한 태도의 영향요인은 기후변화 관련 정보에 대한 관심, 학년 및 사회적 책임으로 나타났다.
결론: 본 연구에서 사회적 책임은 치위생학과 학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식과 태도 모두와 관련된 주요 요인으로 확인되었다. 이는 치위생학 교육과정에서 기후변화를 사회적 책임과 연계하여 다룰 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
따라서 향후 치위생학 교육에서는 지속가능성과 사회적 책임을 반영한 교육 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Background: This study identified the levels of awareness and attitudes toward climate change and social responsibility among dental hygiene students and examined the relationships among these variables to provide foundational data for climate change and social responsibility education in dental hygiene curricula.
Methods: A structured self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted from October 13 to 19, 2025, among 164 dental hygiene students in the Jeolla region. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and regression analysis.
Results: The mean scores for awareness of climate change, attitudes toward climate change, and social responsibility were 3.53, 3.54, and 3.59, respectively. Climate change awareness, attitudes toward climate change, and social responsibility were positively correlated with each other. Factors significantly associated with climate change awareness included interest in climate change-related information, subjective health status, and social responsibility. Furthermore, attitudes toward climate change were significantly associated with interest in climate change-related information, academic year, and social responsibility.
Conclusion: The present study identified social responsibility as a key factor associated with both climate change awareness and attitudes toward climate change among dental hygiene students. These findings suggest the need to integrate climate change and social responsibility education into dental hygiene curricula and may serve as foundational data for developing sustainability-based educational programs.
