에밀리 디킨슨의 시에 나타난 가정적 이미저리의 사회적 의미 : 한나 아렌트의 ‘노동’개념을 중심으로 = Emily Dickinson’s Domestic Imagery Focusing on Hannah Arendt’s Labor Concept

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Emily Dickinson used 500 different domestic images in 382 poems out of 1775 poems of hers. For women, the private life of the household was equal to the public life of politics and philosophy, which means that women were lack of the public life in terms of social life. With the help of ‘labor’ concept of Hannah Arendt, the concept of laboring animal in relation to feminity has been constituted socially and historically, deepening women’s subjugation. Dickinson used domestic imagery to reveal women’s false consciousness and social suppression, in which women’s activities were confined to labor. Also, she tried to disillusion feminity in relation to the laboring animal and to restore truly liberal and political human beings.
