다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the awareness of university students about creativity education in university and compare the characteristics of creativity education in each major field. To achieve this purpose, we analyzed the responses by conducting the online survey with 1661 students in the humanities, social science, natural science, engineering and art department field at Sungkyunkwan University regarding creativity education. The findings are as follows. First, it indicated that students recognize the importance of creativity education in all major departments, but there was a difference in the level of importance in each detailed major department. Second, it indicated that most students are not satisfied with creativity education in university. The reasons primarily include the competitive academic atmosphere due to the relative evaluation system and the lecture-oriented teaching style, and there was a difference in satisfaction level and reasons depending on the major departments. Third, it indicated that students think liberal arts subjects more help to develop creativity compared to major subjects. Fourth, it indicated that elements of creativity needed for the development of creativity in each major department primarily include various knowledge and experience, curiosity, observation and imagination, and there was a difference depending on the major departments. In conclusion, the findings of this study have significance as a basic study which confirmed the necessity of creativity education in each domain of university education and suggested the direction for creativity education in each major department.
