박완서 작품의 교과서 수록 양상과 문학교육적 활용 고찰－2022 개정 교육과정 반영 공통국어1ㆍ2, 문학 교과서를 중심으로－ = A Study on the Inclusion and Educational Application of Park Wan-seo's Literary Works in Korean Language Textbooks－Focusing on Korean Language 1 & 2 and Literature Textbooks under the 2022 Revised Curriculum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2022 개정 국어과 교육과정을 반영한 고등학교 󰡔공통국어1ㆍ2󰡕 및 󰡔문학󰡕 교과서에 수록된 박완서 작품의 수록 양상과 문학교육적 활용을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 박완서의 작품은 꾸준히 교과서에 수록되며, 문학교육의 주요 지향인 문학의 생활화, 자기 성찰, 사회문화적 이해 등과 긴밀히 연동되어 왔다. 본 연구는 박완서의 소설뿐 아니라 수필 작품까지 포함하여 갈래별 수용 양상을 분석하였으며, 학습 활동을 중심으로 교육과정 성취기준과의 상관성을 검토하였다. 이를 통해 박완서 문학이 학습자의 삶과 어떻게 연결되는지를 교육적 관점에서 조명하고자 하였다. 분석 결과, 박완서의 소설은 사회적 서사로서 시대 이해와 타자 공감 교육에 기여하고 있었으며, 수필은 자기 서사 작성을 유도하는 문학 생산의 촉매로 활용되고 있었다. 또한 교과서 내 활동은 수용과 창작을 연계하며, 문학의 생활화라는 교육과정의 목표를 실현하는 데 기여하고 있었다. 본 연구는 박완서 문학의 수록 양상과 교육적 기능을 종합적으로 고찰함으로써, 한 작가의 작품이 문학교육에서 어떻게 기능할 수 있는지를 구체적으로 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 아울러 박완서 문학이 제시하는 삶의 주제를 확장하여, 문학과 삶의 연계라는 문학교육의 근본적 목표 실현에 기여할 수 있는 가능성을 모색하였다.

This study examines the inclusion patterns and educational applications of Park Wan-seo’s literary works in the high school Korean language textbooks Common Korean 1ㆍ2 and Literature, reflecting the 2022 Revised Korean Language Curriculum. Park’s works, frequently featured in textbooks, are closely aligned with core educational aims such as literary habitualization, self-reflection, and sociocultural understanding through their historical and autobiographical nature. This research analyzes the acceptance of both her novels and essays by genre, and reviews their placement within textbook units, associated activities, and alignment with achievement standards. The findings show that her novels function as social narratives that foster historical awareness and empathy, while her essays serve as prompts for students’ self-narrative writing, thereby supporting literary production. Moreover, textbook activities are designed to bridge reading and writing, effectively realizing the curriculum’s goal of integrating literature into daily life. By comprehensively reviewing the inclusion and educational roles of Park Wan-seo’s literature, this study highlights how a single author’s body of work can serve as a multifaceted resource in literary education. It also proposes the expanded application of Park’s literary themes, suggesting new directions for literature education that emphasizes the connection between literature and life.
