全北의 工業發展에 對한 課題 : 工業立地 決定要因을 中心으로(Centered on the Industrial Location-Determining Factors) = A Study on the Industrial Development in Chon-Buk

This treatise has written to find industrial location-determining factors, among the industrial location-determining factors influencing goverment's selection of location, which has to be put special consideration for the industrial development of Chon-Buk District and to suggest some tasks which has to be done.
According to the findings which came from looking at the regional distribution of industrial complexes, the principal industries in that complex and industrial complexes in Chon-buk, in addition to this, the traits of principal industries which is located in industrial complexes chronologically with these purposes, I noticed that labor factors in the 1960's, factors of policies for industrial location in the 1970's, factors of regional inequality in the 1980' s and recently environmental factors were considered important.
As the analysis shows, the transportation, labor force, environmental factors, governmental policies should be taken into great consideration, when Chon-buk selects the industrial complex in the near future.
The tasks for Chon-buk's industrial development are considered as the followings.
Firstly, they(Chon-buk) should enlarge the traffic facilities innovationally. Secondly, they should get professionalized technical labor forces and try to set up the research institute actively. Thirdly, they should minimize the environmental contamination by inducing high-tech industries. Finally, they must have powerful governmental supports by means of policy and politics in order to close the regional incomes'gap.
But this treatise has limits such that industrial location-determining factors are not comprehensive, that it is not easy to acquire the abundant data about each factors, and that it is difficult to consider the consciousness of the President and the first-class administrative bureaucrats relating to locating industrial complexes. To overcome these limits, more concrete case studies will be followed.
