미메시스의 재해석을 통한 소설의 정동적 비평 가능성 연구 = A Study on the Possibility of Affective Criticism of Novels through the Reinterpretation of Mimesis

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Considering the possibility of inherent expansion of literature, it is thought that modern Korean novels and criticisms have problematic characteristics that view literature as a representation of society and institutions. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to consider the method of criticism that makes the novel an active thought. The study of ‘Poetry-Image-Affect’ makes the poetry an real thought by understanding the nature of the image through affect. Therefore this paper transforms it into the ‘Novel-Mimesis-Affect’.
The concept of affect places an important meaning on the physical transformation process itself, which becomes a concept that rejects teleological thinking by affirming the movement as the capacity of existence. Therefore, the perspective that emphasizes the reality inherent in the affect in art makes the work a composition of meaning which is exercising itself. These movements proceed to the realization of politics in that they visualize potential possibilities.
Mimesis can be related to affect based on physicality and creativity. Aristotle’s discussion shows that Mimesis is the work of creating a virtual, not replicating a given reality. And in the context of postmodernism, Mimesis is defined as a concept to reach things that are placed before awareness by approaching objects through perception. In this way, when Mimesis is viewed as a place where the internal power of creation is ejected, the novel as an internal thought realizes the politics of reorganizing reality.
