‘甜’ 계열 어휘의 공감각 표현 연구 = A Study on Synthetic Expressions of Words of the Lexical Category of the Chinese Word ‘甜’ (Sweet)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 ‘甜’계열 어휘의 공감각 표현 양상을 개념적 통합 연결망을 구축하여 살펴보았다.
대부분의 ‘甜’계열 어휘는 미각의 근원영역에서 출발하여, 촉각, 청각, 시각, 후각 등 다양한 감각의 목표영역으로 확장한다. 두 입력 공간의 개념적 요소들은 추상적인 혼성공간에 투사되어 어떤 느낌, 소리, 모습, 향기 등에 대한 만족감을 나타내는데, 혼성공간에서 가장 많이 발현된 확장 의미는 ‘유쾌함(愉快), 편안함(舒适)，행복함(幸福), 아름다움(美好)’ 등이다. 또한 특정 상황에서 ‘아첨(奉承), 거짓(虚伪), 속임수(欺骗), 탐욕(贪婪)’ 등 부정적인 감정도 나타낼 수 있다. ‘甜’계열 어휘의 공감각 은유는 다양한 뉘앙스를 이해하고, 긍정적 의미와 부정적 의미를 모두 파악하는 데 도움이 된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at addressing and exploring the patterns of synthetic expressions of words of the lexical category of the Chinese word ‘甜’ by creating the conceptual and integrated network.
Most words of the category are rooted in the origin of taste and then, extended to target areas of various senses including touch, hearing, vision, and smell. Conceptual elements of two different input spaces are projected onto an abstract composite space and express satisfaction for certain feelings, sounds, shapes, scents, and others. As for the extended meanings that are most frequently manifested in the composite space, they include pleasantness,comfort, happiness, and beauty. In addition, in certain situations, they could be used to express negative emotions such as flattery, falsehood, deception, and greed. The synthetic metaphors of words of the lexical category of the Chinese word ‘甜’ could help in understanding their various nuances as well as their positive and negative meanings.
