농촌 폐교를 활용한 노인요양시설의 사업타당성분석 = Feasibility Study on the Conversion of School Property Closed in Rural Area into Nursing Home for Weak Seniors

We study real case of conversion of school property closed years ago in rural area into nursing home with certified nurses and health care facilities. We especially focus on financial aspect of the case with respect to feasibility study instead of general welfare analysis or policy recommendation deferring from previous research efforts. our contributions are multifold. Firstly, we show private sectors can provide those nursing home facility successfully on their own without any public support or assistance from either local or state governments. Secondly, our findings of conversion idea can be extended to other properties abandoned in rural area. We analyse financial profitability assuming two different cases; one with the support of senior`s long-term health care insurance payments and the other without above mentioned insurance payments. We find based on simulation analysis that even without outside support of senior`s long-term health care insurance payments, this conversion will be a profitable business.
