미술활동을 통한 아동의 소근육운동과 시지각 발달 = The Effects of Art-Program on Child's Fine Motor Development and Visual Perception

This case-study attempted to examine the effects of art-program on child's fine motor development and visual perception. The subject was a 6 year old child. The program consisted of 38 40 minute sessions carried out twice a week. The program was constructed by the investigator based on previous programs which had been proven to have positive effects on small muscle exercise and visual perception.
The Developmental Test of Visual Perception, Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test, Figure-Drawing, and the observation of art-program session were used to investigate the change of small muscle exercise and the visual perception, before and after the art-program were carried out. And the observation of program session was used to investigate the effect of the art-program.
The results of this study were as follows; First, this art program was helpful to the child's fine motor development. Second, the child's visual perception was improved. As the sessions went on, the child expressed positive reactions and showed improvement of the small muscle exercise.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 미술활동 프로그램을 통해, 소근육운동과 시지각발달의 향상에 도움을 주기 위해 수행되었다. 사례 아동은 초등학교 1학년에 재학 중인 여아로써, 같은 연령의 아동보다 소근육운동과 시지각의 발달에서 지체되어 있었다. 미술활동 프로그램은 소근육운동과 시지각발달의 향상에 초점을 맞추어 구성되었다. 미술활동 프로그램을 주 2회 실시하여, 총 38 회가 실시되었고, 매 회기는 40분 정도였다.
미술활동을 통한 소근육운동과 시지각의 향상을 보기 위해, 손기능평가, 시지각 발달검사, 얼굴그리기 평가를 실시하였고, 회기과정에서의 변화를 보았다. 프로그램 실시 결과 첫째, 미술활동 프로그램은 아동의 소근육운동 발달에 도움이 되었다. 초기의 소극적인 반응과 저항에서 회기의 진행에 따라, 공감대가 형성되었다. 그리고 아동의 적극적인 참여가 이루어지었다. 둘째, 미술활동 프로그램을 통해 아동의 시지각이 향상되었다. 미술활동이 지니는 흥미, 자발성, 집중력, 성취감을 통한 소근육운동과 시지각의 향상 미술활동프로그램이 아동의 소근육운동과 시지각발달에 도움을 가져왔음을 알 수 있다.
