청소년의 인터넷 이용에 미치는 부모의 동기부여 언어 사용의 영향과 목표지향성의 매개 역할

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the present study was to reveal that adolescents’ goal orientation can mediate the degree and patterns of adolescents’ internet use and that the use of parents’ motivational language may contribute to the development of adolescent’s goal orientation. A survey research was conducted with 1,002 samples from upper primary and middle school students in Seoul, January 2008. Results showed that parents’ motivational language reduced internet use time of adolescents. Mediation effect of goal orientation was also proved. In addition, adolescents’ internet use behaviors were categorized into four types: communication-types, contents user-types, solid usage-types, and game user-types. Most of solid usage-type students use internet based on substantial reasons and efficiently use their time and in using media such as TV, online game, etc., while other types of students spent more time on internet and other media activities. In order to prevent the negative effects in adolescents’ media usage, it is important to increase adolescents’ goal orientation through the use of motivational language at home.
