超現實主義와 空間表象에 관한 硏究 = STUDY ON THE WORKS OF SPACE SYMBOL AND SURREALISM

국문 초록 (Abstract)

科學에 의해 인간생활의 場이 空間, 時間的으로 비약적인 발전을 거듭함에 따라 藝術家는 室間探求에 열중하게 되었다. 특히 超現實主義를 통해 油象主義에 이르기까지 깊은 관심속에서 探求되었다.
20世紀 여러 조각 양상 중에서 超現實主義의 影響을 받은 作家들에 의해 시도된 空間에 대한 探求, 새로운 空間槪念의 發見,空間의 造形的 擴散등을 硏究하고 超現實主義 作品에 나타난 空間表象의 特性을 作家別로 分析할 必要가 있다.
本 硏究의 目的은 超現實主義의 影響에서 室間探求에 열중한 作家들의 다양한 空間感과 空間探求에서 얻어진 새로운 空間槪念의 發見및 空間의 造形的 擴散 그리고 空間表象方式의 特性을 알아보고자 하였다.
本 硏究의 內容은 理論的 背景을 考察함으로써 空間探求와 超現實主義와의 相互關聯性을 알아 보았고 超現實主義의 時代的, 哲學的, 心理的 등 다양한 展開를 分析하였으며, 超現實主義 영향에서의 作家意識形成과 제작된 조각작품에서의 空間探求 및 空間表象의 特性을 Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, David Smith, Herber Ferber의 작가순으로 분석하였다.
本 硏究의 方法은 文獻調査와 作品分析을 竝行하였다.
本 硏究의 結果 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다.
空間表象方式에 있어서 作家들에게 影響을 미친 時代的 背景, 思想的 背景, 技術의 開發, 美的 經驗에 의해 작가별로 多樣한 特性을 表現하였으며, 空間探求에 依하여 H. Moore는 虛空間과 實空間이라는 새로운 室間槪念을 發見하였고, H. Ferber에 의해 求心的 彫刻 遠心的 彫刻이라는 空間의 造形的 擴散을 이루었으며, D. Smith는 透明性과 開放性, 垂直性, 空間속의 그림, A. Giacometti는 實存主義空間이라는 새로운 空間表現을 可能하게 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the scope of the human has expanded in space and time through the science, artists have been absorbed in the study of space. Especially it has been studied under the special interest to the range of abstractionism through surrealism.
I have felt the need to identify the space research, the new discovery of space perception, the formative expansion of space and the characteristics of space symbol represented in the works created by surrealist among the various aspects of sculpture in 20th century.
The purpose of this study is examining the characteristics of the type of space symbol, the formative expansion of space and the new discovery of space perception by artist who has been absorbed in the space research under the influence of surrealism.
The content of this study is the relationship between space and surrealism under the theoretical background, the analysis of the various influences of the times, philosophy and psychology in surrealism and the artist's consciousness formed , the space research and the characteristics of space symbol in sculpture works created by surrealism. Alberto Giacometti, Henry Moore, David Smith, Herbert Ferber.
For this study, the investigation of literature and the analysis of art-work were conducted.
The main conclusions of this study are as follows; As for space symbol form, I found that artists were different from each other in terms of the times, thought, development of technique and aesthetic experience. Next, in space research, I saw that Henry Moore found the new perception of substance and emptiness of space, Herbert Ferber achived formative expansion of space of centripetal and centrifugal sculpture, David Smith created possibility to express transparency and opening, verticality and the picture in space and Alberto Giacometti to represent the new space of existentialism.
