The Kuchen-dong Valley is located in Seolchen-myun, Muju-kun, Junrabuk-do, This area including the Deukyoo-san has been designated as one of the National Parks in 1975. The Kucen-dong valley are composed of dacite, fine grained granitic gneiss, coarse grained granitic gneiss and Deukyoo-san formation. The landforms of the Kuchen-dong valley are summarrized below. First, rock tabales had been formed by sheeting joint. Enkuam, llsadae, Kayeam. Pahye and Susimdae are rock tables. Second, other areas have been developed as riffle, fall, rapids, pool, and pond. The shapes of Inwaldarn, Sajadam, Bipadam, Kuwoldam, Myungkyung and Bakryundam are pools. Third, Wolhatan, Kumpotan, Kuchun fall and Yunhwa fall are falls formed by erosion of rock tables. Ansimdae has riffle formed by falling rocks. Forth, falling rocks are distributed on river bad. Fifth, rock cliffs had been formed by vertical joint. Enkuam, Chankumdae, Susimdae, Sukyungdae are rock cliffs.
