The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships of adolescents' attitudes with personal variables, social, economic, cultural backgrounds of family, and physical variables of housing through social survey.
Adolescents' attitudes were analyzed mainly from the privacy-oriented personal space in dwelling units.
The data of this study were obtainted from the questionnaire of 384 samples.
In Analyzing, frequencies, Pearson's r, t-test, F-test were calculated and tested through SPSS subprograms.
The Major findings are follows;
1) Significant differences were not found in privacy attitudes of adolescents in the light of their personal variables. Regardless of sex and birth order, privacy attitudes in personal space were proved similar.
2) Significant differences were found in privacy attitudes of adolescents depending on their economic and cultural backgrounds of family.
3) Significant differences were found in privacy attitudes of adolescents depending on their physical backgrounds of housing. And the differences depending on the user pattern and exclusive use of personal space were highly significant.
4) Significant correlations were found among privacy attitudes of adolescents in personal space, their degree of satisfaction with personal space, and degree of their satisfaction with housing. But significant correlations were not found between those factors and the length of stay-out-of-the-house hours of adolescents in a day.
