청년층의 지역환경인식이 이주의사에 미치는 영향 분석 : 지역만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로 = An Analysis of the impact of the young people's perception of the local environment on their intention to migrate : Focusing on the mediating effect of local satisfaction

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현재 우리나라의 20·30 청년층의 지역이탈이 사회문제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 청년층의 지역환경의식이 이주의사에 미치는 영향과 이 과정에서 지역만족도의 매개효과를 분석하여 청년층의 지역이탈 방지를 위한 정책적 시사점을 제안하는 것이다. 조사대상은 ‘2022년 부산사회조사’에 응답한 20·30대 부산지역 청년층 4,768명이며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수질환경, 토양환경, 소음·진동환경 인식은 청년층의 이주의사 결정에 직접 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 토양환경과 녹지환경인식은 지역만족도를 매개로 이주의사 결정에 간접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 녹지환경인식은 긍정적일수록 지역만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 지역만족도를 통해 정주를 유도할 수 있다. 셋째, 대기환경 인식은 지역만족도와 이주의사 결정에 유의미한 영향이 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 청년층의 거주지 선택에 경제적 요인외 지역환경여건도 중요한 요인이란 점을 확인하였다. 그리고 정책적 관점에서 지역의 수질개선, 소음·진동 규제강화, 위생적 폐기물처리, 친생태적 녹지공간 조성 등의 사업을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of young adults' perceptions of local environment on their migration intention and the mediating effect of local satisfaction in this process, and to provide policy implications for preventing local migration of young adults. The subjects of the study are young adults in their 20s and 30s living in Busan. The results of the study are as follows: First, perceptions of water environment, soil environment, and noise and vibration environment directly influence young adults' migration decisions. Second, perceptions of soil environment and green environment indirectly influence migration decisions through regional satisfaction. In particular, positive perceptions of green environment have a positive effect on regional satisfaction, and regional satisfaction can induce settlement. Third, perceptions of air quality do not have a significant effect on neighborhood satisfaction and migration decisions. These findings confirm that local environmental conditions, in addition to economic factors, are important factors for young adults in choosing where to live.
