대학생용 성격강점카드의 개발과 타당화

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 대학생의 성격강점을 파악할 수 있는 성격강점 카드를 개발하고 그 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 성격강점카드를 개발하고 그 타당도를 검증하였다. 성격강점카드의 구성내용은 Peterson과 Seligman(2004)이 제시한 VIA 분류체계를 사용하였다. 이 분류체계는 성격강점을 6개의 핵심덕목과 24개의 하위강점으로 구분하고 있는데, 성격강점 분류에 가장 보편적으로 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서도 이를 토대로 성격강점 카드내용을 구성하였다. 그리고 개발된 성격강점카드의 활용가능성을 평가하기 위해 성격강점카드를 활용한 대표 강점 찾기 활동을 실시하였고, 이를 성격강점 검사인 VIA-IS 단축형 척도의 실시 결과와 비교하였다. 강점카드를 활동을 통해 추출한 대표강점과 강점검사를 통해 나온 대표강점이 일치하는지를 분석하였다. 분석결과 강점카드와 성격강점 검사를 통해 확인한 대표 강점의 일치도는 중간 이상의 일치도가 약 77로 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 성격강점카드는 타당하다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서 개발된 성격강점카드는 교육 및 상담 장면에서 다양하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to develop the Character Strengths cards for university and to examine the validity of the Character Strengths cards. These cards based on the VIA Classification of Character Strengths. This is comprised of 24 character strengths that fall under six broad virtue categories: wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance and transcendence. These cards based on the VIA Classification of Character Strengths and comprised of 24 character strengths. In order to test for validity of the character strengths cards, questionnaires were administered and the obtained statistical data were analysed. 65 employees participated in the study. The results support the validity of the character strengths cards.
