아동기 학대적 경험이 자녀학대에 미치는 영향력에 관한 연구 = The Effects of Abusive Experience in childhood on Child Maltreatment: The mediating effects of the characteristics of parents and family relationship

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동기 학대적 경험이 자녀학대에 미치는 영향력에서 개인 특성 및 가족관계의 매개효과를 중심으로 관계 구조를 설정하여 전체 모형을 분석함으로써 이러한 관계들을 포괄적으로 검증하고, 어떤 요인이 아동학대 세대간 전수의 매개 효과가 있는가를 밝히고자 하였다. 자료수집기간은 2002년 10월부터 12월까지였고, 서울지역 강북, 강남지역의 4개 초등학교 저학년 2개학급, 고학년 2개학급 학생의 어머니 334명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 분석에 사용된 최종 사례는 324부였다. 요인들의 인과관계에 대한 분석을 위해 Lisrel 8.5를 사용하여 경로분석(Path Analysis)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 어머니의 아동기 학대경험은 신체학대, 정서학대, 방임, 성학대에 이르는 직접적 경로가 유의미하지 않았다. 그러나 개인의 성격문제, 통제적 양육태도, 부부갈등, 부모-자녀 관계와 같은 개인 특성 및 가족관계를 통한 간접적 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 아동기 학대적 경험이 신체학대에 미치는 영향력에서 통제적 양육태도가 매개변수로서의 효과가 가장 컸으며, 정서학대와 방임의 경우 부부갈등이 매개변수로서의 효과가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 아동학대 유형 중에서도 특히 신체 학대와 정서학대의 세대간 전수를 차단하기 위해서 어머니의 통제적 양육 태도, 부부갈등을 긍정적으로 변화시키는 노력이 무엇보다 중요하다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A number of study have been accomplished for the finding and prevention of child maltreatment until now. But there are few studies of path analysis between abusive experience in childhood and chid maltreatment in adulthood. This study investigated the direct effects of abusive experience in childhood on child maltreatment, the link between abusive experience in childhood, the characteristic of parents, family relationship and child maltreatment. In addition, the mediating role of the characteristic of parents and family relationship was studied. 334 mothers of students in elementary school participated in the survey and 324 cases were analyzed and Path Analysis was used for the purpose of the study. The results indicate that abusive experience in childhood did not effect on child maltreatment directly. But the effect of abusive experience in childhood on parenting attitude, spousal conflict, dominant parenting, parents-children relationship were identified. The path between abusive experience in childhood and chid maltreatment were mediated parenting attitude, dominant parenting, parents-children relationship.
