글로컬문화콘텐츠의 원형 분석: ‘트랜스포머(Transformers)’를 중심으로 = Analysis of Glocal Culture Contents Archetype

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Glocal culture contents has strong characteristics of visual culture contents. Examples of this case are films and animations. They are main stream of visual culture contents. Visual culture contents are satisfying the local market and at the same time, that must be entered in the global market. Visual culture contents respect pluralism. Therefore, they should have ‘regional identity’ and ‘global universality’ at the same time. This is adilemma of glocal culture contents. To solve this problem, I took the main theme of this study ‘Transfomers’. Transformers features visual culture contents shows glocal typical example. The process of planning, production, screening, and selling of Transfomers reveals cooperation between countries for the production of visual culture contents. This study to investigate the properties of transformer, cites the archetypal theory of C. G. Jung, J. Campbell and G. Durand. In particular, Durand’s theory which called “bassin sémantique” is a methodology that analysis of the dominant literary tendency and creation and destruction of cultural context circulation.
It could be an analysis methodology to predict the future culture contents trend. Through the above analysis, We can be seen that glocal culture contents should be made on the basis of cultural archetype. We know that the archetype on the basis of local cultural content can have the universality and individuality, and this makes trend to spread a global flow and be made to appeal to each region.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

글로컬문화콘텐츠는 비주얼문화콘텐츠적인 특성을 강하게 지니고 있으며, 이는 영화와 애니메이션 등의 영상콘텐츠를 예로 들 때 더욱 두드러진다. 비주얼문화콘텐츠는 소비자층이 명확한 로컬시장을 만족시켜야 하는 문제를 해결함에 그치지 않고, 향후 동일한 콘텐츠를 또 다른 로컬 시장에 진출시켜야 하는 과제를 동시에 안고 있다. 따라서 비주얼문화콘텐츠는 글로컬문화콘텐츠로서 다원성을 존중하기에 ‘지역적인(local) 개별성’과 ‘전지구적인(global) 보편성’을 동시에 띠어야 하는 딜레마에 빠지기 쉽다. 이 연구에서 논하고자하는 ‘트랜스포머(Transformers)’는 이러한 비주얼문화콘텐츠의 글로컬적인 일련의 양상을 보여주는 대표적인 예이다. 트랜스포머가 기획, 제작, 상영되고 하나의 독립된 콘텐츠로 판매되는 일련의 프로세스 속에는 비주얼문화콘텐츠 제작을 위한 국가 간의 협력이 여실히 드러나 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 트랜스포머에 내재된 글로컬적인 속성을 검토하기 위하여 융(C. G. Jung)과 캠벨(J. Campbell) 그리고 뒤랑의 ‘원형’ 개념을 인용한다. 특히 뒤랑의 개념인 ‘의미의 물줄기’는 하나의 지배적인 사조나 문화적 흐름이 등장하여 성행하고 소멸되기까지의 순환 과정을 분석하는 연구방법으로 향후 문화콘텐츠의 트렌드를 분석하고 예측하는 방법론이 될 수 있을 것이다. 상기의 분석 과정을 통하여 우리는 글로컬문화콘텐츠가 원형을 바탕으로 제작될 때에야 비로소 각 지역에 어필할 수 있는 보편성과 개별성을 지닐 수 있으며, 이는 트렌드로 전파되어 전지구적인 흐름을 형성하는 하나의 계기가 됨을 확인할 수 있다.
